David Trahan, Executive Director
Waldoboro
Prior to David taking over as Executive Director of the Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine in 2011, he served in the Maine Legislature; four terms in the House and two terms in the Senate. He and his wife Pam, reside in Waldoboro where he has logged for over 3 decades. David is an avid sportsman; deer hunting, bird hunting and fishing being some of his favorite outdoor pastimes.

Becky Morrell, Operations Manager
Oakland
In April, 2011 Becky stepped into her role as Office Manager of Sportsman’s Alliance of Maine. Prior to joining SAM, she served as the Committee Clerk for both the Inland Fisheries and Wildlife Committee and the Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry Committee. Becky lives in Oakland with her two kids, Kelsey and Duncan, and enjoys kayaking Messalonskee Lake. Becky harvested her first deer in 2016, a #115 spike horn buck, and enjoys the many facets of the our outdoor heritage, but her favorite is fishing.

Lisa Kimball, Bookkeeper/Office Assistant
Randolph
In 2015 Lisa joined our team as Bookkeeper and Office Assistant. With years of bookkeeping experience and her willingness to jump in where needed, made her a fabulous asset to the SAM office. Lisa lives with her husband, Jim of 29 years, in Randolph and enjoys family time with her two grown children, their spouses and her 3 grandchildren. Time with family and friends, sewing and shopping (finding great deals!) are a few of Lisa’s favorite pastimes.

Gerry Lavigne, Wildlife Specialist (Consultant)
Boyd Lake
Gerry served as DIFW’s white-tailed deer biologist from 1975 to 2005. Since his retirement, he has volunteered extensively for SAM, specializing in deer habitat, predation, and hunting issues. Gerry began his first term on the SAM board in January 2012, and he is responsible for SAM’s Deer Management Network initiative. A small businessman, Lavigne operates Dunlatr Farm Wild Game Smokehouse at his farm near Milo, and he runs a wildlife consulting business.
